Painting Exterior of Home Gray

June 26, 2015 Client Projects, Design Ideas, Interiors, Staging

Had these clients with an amazing interior. It needed some tweaks. So, we updated the spaces by painting walls different shades of gray. Many walls were light beige/yellow. We also updated some of the furnishings to give it a more transitional feel.  But, we also took it outside and Painting Exterior of Home Gray was the biggest bang for their buck. But, first, here is a peek at the interior.

Painting Exterior of Home Gray

Each of these rooms were painted and furniture was added or removed and replaced with other pieces.
So, what was the problem.
The exterior was still yellow.
It just didn’t do the interior any justice.
But, nothing a little (okay, a lot) of paint can’t fix.

Painting Exterior of Home Gray

After playing around with a couple greys by Benjamin Moore we took the plunge and painted the entire exterior of the home. We left the red brick on the chimney which look fabulous, a pop of natural color. Note to all: do NOT paint your red brick chimney exterior walls.

Is that the color you used for the outside? It’s beautiful! All your work is beautiful. I live in the area and I’m keeping your name. Also was thinking of using Benjamin Moore Ozark Shadows for outside. Do you think that’s too dark? I like a light to medium Gray/greige

Hi Sandra – Thank you so much for your kind words. I love Ozark Shadows, great color! When you say outside? do you mean exterior door or siding?
