Dining Table Reveal

My dining room has been a work in progress for oh so many months. It is in the center of my home. LITERALLY. You have to pass it to get from one end of the home to the other. For that reason, I wanted a space that was cozy, but elegant and at the same time have an open feel. When I visited the Bernhardt showroom at High Point Market, exactly one year ago, I found the Dining Table of my dreams.

Yup, that’s me a year ago in their showroom. Dreaming one day it would grace my home.

Once the kitchen makeover was complete, this was the next room to tackle. The dining room was used as storage during the kitchen project, that was fun. Finally, the kitchen facelift project had come to an end and I was able to paint the walls and bring my dining room back to life.

I had already painted my dining room chairs last year and I knew the gray hostess chairs with the white vintage chairs would work perfectly with the Bernhardt dining table. The Rustic Pantina finish has hints of gray and white throughout the natural oak finish.

I host a lot of larger dinner parties and I needed a table long enough to seat up to 16+ comfortably. With the two 20″ leaves installed, it can! Even better, the leaf designs are just as gorgeous. The tabletop design is truly a piece of art.

Aa gorgeously designed top of knotty white oak veneers with an outside border and pattern made of quartered white oak. As if that wasn’t enough, look at those pedestals. A cast faux oak urn-shaped pedestal column that just takes the table to the next level.

I also needed the table to be easy for me to enlarge. The leaf extensions are on adjustable glides, making it easy for one person to open the table and insert the leaves. Love this feature for the busy hostess.

We have yet to sit and enjoy my Rustic Pantina Dining Table; too many projects I needed to complete before we hit the Polar Vortex season of Chicago. BUT, I cannot wait to create amazing tablescapes and enjoy the company around the table over the next few months. We will gather for Thanksgiving, Christmas Dinners and family birthdays, so always come back to see how my new Bernhardt Dining Table will be the center of family traditions for years to come.
