Been working with a clients home interior style. We began last Spring with painting the interior of the entire home and staining the floors It previously had the 80’s traditional colors of maroon red and forest green, you know what I mean. However, this couple is a vibrant young family ready to bring their home into the 21st Century.
The floors got darkened to a beautiful mix of jacobean / ebony and look fabulous. Every wall in the entire home was painted subtle grays – blues – whites.
Now that flooring and walls are done, we are moving onto the exciting part — STYLING. We will be picking out furnishings, fabrics, light fixtures, rugs, accessories, art, the works.
Before I can even begin the hunt for the right pieces, I put together a style color board for my clients, and once I have their approval we start.
Here is the color scheme I pulled together for them.
The lady of the house wants a rustic, magnolia meets updated modern style. While the hubs is all clean lines transitional modern. I was happy when they both loved the board below!
