The staircase makeover is slowly coming together. If you have just tuned in, I was going to do the entry and staircase. Once the carpet was pulled we decided to take advantage and gut the upstairs bath. So my one room challenge turned into two.
However, I am on a mission to make sure the staircase pulls together by week 6 (with out carpet of course).

The banister is NOT white, it is just primed so far and will be painted a high gloss jet black.
