Family Friendly Living Room Ideas

May 15, 2017 Design Ideas, Interiors

Hey hey hey, it is 85 in Chicago in May and that calls for some glorious celebrations, so why not celebrate that I am over at A Blissful Nest with my family friendly living room ideas. So, lets face it, we (okay maybe just I) dream of my first home, second home and that dream home, and in all them I have to reconsider my design aesthetic to include, well, you know, children. If I styled my house without 3 children in mind it would not be oh so family friendly. But, I do have three amazing children that every time I buy a piece for a space in the home I think, can my kids handle it?

Create a family friendly living room that is still stylish yet kid friendly, head over to A blissful Nest for all the tips #interiors #livingrooms #kidspaces

Our living room is full of toys and kids stuff. I guess that makes it family friendly…but not in the way you mean 😉

I’m waiting for my 5 year old to grow up a little bit more so that we can have the living room to ourselves. Right now, doesn’t matter how much I clean, its always crowded with toys.

This living room is just too clean! Ten seconds after our living room is clean, I will find teethers and toy cars everywhere. Oh and pillows on the floor. Your’s looks so peaceful!

Pretty living room! I am partial to decorated shelves and yours are lovely. I also love the backless seating.

Designing a home that’s full of kids is definitely different. You and I feel the same way, if I were to decorate my home without my kids, it would be totally different from what we have now!

I would love to check out yoir ideas. I don’t worry about my home decor so much nkw that the kids are all grown up. It’s always been something that I had to consider before.

That;s one of the nice things about not yet having kids I don’t have to think about those kinds of things, or worry about things not being appropriate for kids x

Luckily there are no kids in my oh so NOT family friendly house – I sometimes even question whether it’s safe for our cats, it’s like a minefield of antiques and randomness but we absolutely love it haha x

A kid friendly living room definitely calls for storage to hid toys and lots of room to play.

I wish my living room was half as organized as yours! I often joke with my s/o that our 3 year old has enough toys to open a small daycare center!

This living room is indeed family friendly. I loved how it is filled with photo frames. These family pictures are giving a family feeling in this room.
