Deck Out Your Outdoor Living Furniture
Can it really be happening? Chicago might actually experience more than one day of warm weather this upcoming week? Either way, I am ready and will be outside rain, or shine.
I have been prepping the yard since March. Every time I got a warm day I headed out to revive the lawn, powerwash, turn the soil, mow, work on the vegetable garden but the best part, bring out all the outdoor living furniture. I never realized how many different spaces I have needed to furnish until writing this post.
First, the front/ curb appeal of the home. I have two white andirondack chairs on the lawn with a little side table plus large blue planters and lanterns on the front steps. (No. 2 and No. 11)
I have a small side deck off the kitchen that I have changed a few times. It use to have club chairs and more vibrant design in color, but, I needed to simplify and calm my design aesthetic a couple of years ago. Calm, serene was my goal. Darker base furniture (the lounge furniture and table) with blue accents and my main pop of color is actually natural wood or jute shades. So, for the side porch, I now have 3 white rocking chairs with two blue garden stools for side tables. (No. 4 and No. 6)
Then in the backyard, I have two more areas. The dining area and then the lounge area by the firepit. I am so mad that my dining table and chairs are no longer available. I love my dining table and chairs and wish that I could share the actual link. The table is Hampton Bay and the chairs are sloped arm/back chairs from Target that are no longer available. The updated version is above as no. 7.
By the firepit, I didn’t opt for the sectional but two loveseats, club chairs, and even a chaise. The chaise is also no longer available but the club chairs, No. 1, are the design/color that I have with the matching loveseat. I also have a By The Yard Bar table and stools for a little eating area and bar cart, No. 3.
Well, now it is time to finalize the vegetable garden, clean off the furniture one more time after all the rain we have had and hopefully, sit, enjoy and relax.
