How to Decorate Around a TV

July 17, 2017 Design Ideas, Interiors

I always read posts or magazines about the many ways to decorate around a TV or create some form of a gallery wall.  Well, I am here to be a bit of a design rebel and share with you the way we use to decorate around a TV are a thing of the past. In other words, we are still creating a form of a gallery wall around the TV, but, adapting it to the fact that we have accepted that the TV is the focal point (not hiding it) and that simplicity is something many are craving. So, want to find out my main tips and how to do it right, head on over to A Blissful Nest and check it out. It’s a good one. New tips and trends on how to decorate around a TV, visit http://ablissfulnest.com/ #interiors #designtips

{Driven By Decor}

Hint hint, Kris, from Driven by Decor, did it perfectly for her One Room Challenge last Spring.

Our tv is on a weird angled wall that goes up along the staircase. So we have a wall on one side, but not the other. It’s strange….

This is lovely! I always have a hard time decorating around our TV. My husband has these huge speakers and they are impossible to decorate around so I end up putting pictures on them to make them look somewhat better.

oh, speakers. that does make it a little trickier

I love it, it doesn’t look like the paintings are trying to make you overlook the television. It’s clean, simple, and elegant.

      EXACTLY Karen!

I like the way you used the same basic shape as the tv. My daughter has this set up and I am going to share the post with her.

It was actually Kris from Driven by decor, she knew how to keep the TV the focal point while bringing in art

That is such a lovely way to decorate around your TV. Most people would leave the walls blank. I love this idea though! It’s really beautiful.

I low the way you put the frames around the tv it adds so much depth and just a little funk to it. and it goes perfect with the wooden tv stand

this was actually done by Kris but, yes, it is great.

WOW – that’s gorgeous, but I don’t think i could line up picture frames so straight like that. I’m jealous. I really do like the black and white.

We are so bad at decorating. The TV just sits on a stand against the wall. Your decoration is so lovely. I should do better at making all the pieces of furniture in the room come together.

I still try to hide the TV but they are so big these days it’s impossible. I have a 52″ with a window above it so my decorating is done!

exactly! in our “man cave” room, the TV is so massive there is not wall left to decorate. lol.

I don’t have a TV but I am loving how you have organized frames around the TV, your room is really classy looking. You clearly have a knack for demonstrating attention to detail! x

Our TV is on a cabinet, so in a way it is a focal point. It works well for our room.

I love this! We have an interesting situation at our new house. It’s a smaller living room with a HUGE cobblestone fireplace. We need to put our TV over it but no clue how. HA

Great ideas! We have a very large entertainment unit that I would really like to take out of our living room. It’s a beautiful furniture piece but the room would feel so much more open without it!

  24. Rachel says

    July 20, 2017 at 3:12 pm

That’s pretty but I feel like I would never really look at the art much in those locations or appreciate it. That said I love those frames and I love all the shots you made.

Every beautiful room I see in magazines never has a tv in it. But this is a great solution.
